Davis

Poor guy has been left out of the pictures for a few days and I finally wanted to get some of the pictures posted of him from the Arboretum. He is all better and has been back at school the last 2 days. I am so proud of him. After the rough patch of behavior at school around Christmas, he has pulled it together. About 2 months now without a single problem day!! He has even earned extra privledges at times. He is really making progress with his reading. The other day he brought in his Bible and began to read to me. It was such a precious gift to see him read the Bible for himself. May it be the beginning of many hours spent reading God's Word. And on that note, he has done so well learning the Books of the Bible. He can start in the Old Testament and get through about half of the New Testament and we will be working on the remaining books in the next few weeks during Bible Buddies at church. He also knows his verses we have learned this year very well.

There are about 9 weeks left of school and he will be a second grader and then turning 7 quickly. He is so funny right now and really getting a grip on who he is and what he likes. Take his hair for instance. It is long, a little too long for my taste, but not too bad. Of course he wants it longer. It has to be combed straight down in his face, not parted to the side or anything like that. Don't even let Jason try, because he just gets mad, I am the hair person for him! Right now as it is warming up, he does not want to wear a short sleeved shirt with his jeans. Long with pants, short with shorts. This boy is something. He is also the only one who give me sympathy when I am not feeling well. A hug, kiss and I love you from him is usually enough to make me quit feeling sorry for myself. He is such a caring boy and so genuine with his affection.
