The Flu!

Does this look like a child who has the flu? We went to the Arboretum this morning and Davis was fine. Coughing a bit, but I figured it was due to allergy stuff since he was running and having a great time. We sat down for lunch and he got puny all the sudden. Then he decided he did not want to miss his favorite waterfalls so we went on for a little longer before heading home. Got home, low temerature and clearly not feeling well, soooo called the Dr. thinking we might get off being better for Easter festivites all weekend if we got some meds. Get ready to go to the Dr and throw up all over the carpet....followed by, just guess. Call Dr to let them know we are late, call Jason can you take Henry off my hands.

We got to the Dr, test for flu is positive, but NOT for the strain that is also causing the stomach distress. Breathing is bad, have breathing treatment, not better, go for chest x-ray. Possible developing pneumonia. Yes, all in the same child...flu, pneumonia and stomach bug. Get sick as we are leaving, would he like a shot of fenegran. He may not like, but he be brave because mommy knows the carpet and kitchen floor are still at home awaiting clean up.
