I took Davis and Wyatt for their well visits this morning. It had been a long while since Davis has even been sick enough to see the doctor and the new pediatrician we have been seeing had not even met him. He is used to seeing me with Henry and Wyatt and walked in the room a little surprised!! It has been a year since the tonsils came out and he has not had strep even 1 time!!! Wahoo!!!! Davis weighed 74 pounds and is 4 1/2 feet tall. Help me! The only concern he had for Davis was during a scoliosis screening. As soon as Davis bent over, even I could something was off. The doctor went to get a tool for measuring angles along his back. He is 1 degree over the mark for further consideration and we will have a baseline x-ray done and then monitor him annually. He was no where close to needing a referral to an orthopedist.
Wyatt has actually gotten a little bit tall. Go figure...he still weighs next to nothing, but has been consistent on the growth chart, so I figure he is just going to be a bit smaller than the other boys. He is 35 inches long and almost 26 pounds. He is still not speaking much and we decided it would be best to have him refereed for a speech evaluation. He has been a bit grumpy off and on this week and had a little fever one day. I figured it was molars, but when he checked his mouth, he had some sores healing in the back of his throat. He only had to get 1 shot and as soon as we had a sucker in his mouth, he was fine!!! Tough guy! The doctor asked how it was having 3 kids and that he and his wife were expecting their 3rd. I laughed and said it was fun and that right now, Wyatt is a good combination of a 2 year old AND baby of the family and is doing his best to keep it interesting!!
